“Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy, and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing. This tradition was founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication.

Everything in the wolrd is made of energythat nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is natural balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well being.

Reiki Treatment

The recipient lies on a couch or sits in relaxed sitting position in a chair fully clothed. The practitioner places their hands gently and in non-intrusive way on or near the body. It can last from 30 mins to 45 mins depending on individual client’s needs. there is no movement, massage or manipulation involved, the hands of the practitioner are very still.

What Reiki treatment can feel like

This will vary from person to person as everyone will experience in their own unique way. Many clients report the profound sense of peace and relaxation and the treatment can feel very soothing and comforting. Its aim is to restore harmony at all levels and some may experience an emotional response to it or not.
